Clare Babbs gained her diploma from the London Foot Hospital and her degree in podiotric medicine from the University of Westminster in 1992.

Upon qualifying Clare worked for NHS Epsom trust and in 1996 she progressed to running her own business. She also became the principle podiatrist for the Royal Hospital Chelsea and the Royal Marsden in Sutton.

Since 2003 she has worked in a private practice to balance her career and family life.

In addition to clinical work Clare has been the secretary for for the Guilford and the Kent branch of the Royal College of Podiatry.

In 2021 she received a long service award.
